Prof. Dr. Sinan Başçeken is a distinguished Turkish chemist recognized for his contributions to organic synthesis, catalysis, and advanced chemical methodology. Fathy Aly El-Sayed Abdel-Wahab, born on august 12, 1957, in cairo, egypt, began his academic journey at ain shams university. he earned his bachelor’s degree in physics with first honors in 1979. driven by his passion for solid-state physics, he pursued an m.sc. in 1987, studying microstructure and photo-thermal transport of amorphous selenium. his pursuit of knowledge led to a ph.d. in 1994, where he focused on the growth and electrical transport of amorphous ga-as films. this foundational education marked the beginning of his distinguished career in materials science and applied physics.
