Samuel Tesfaye Mekonone began his academic journey in mechanical engineering at the university of bahir dar, ethiopia, where he earned his bachelor's degree in 2008. with a strong passion for material engineering and mechatronics, he pursued further studies in italy, receiving his m.sc. in material engineering from the university of trento in 2014. his academic pursuit reached new heights when he completed his ph.d. in materials, mechatronics, and system engineering from the same institution in 2018, solidifying his expertise in engineering systems and technology deployment.

Samuel has dedicated much of his professional life to academia and research. since 2019, he has been an assistant professor at the university of gondar, where he also serves as the education quality assurance and audit coordinator. prior to this, he was an assistant professor at addis ababa university and a lecturer at adama science and technology university. his experience in both academic and industrial sectors, including a role as a design engineer at adama agricultural machinery industry, has equipped him with practical knowledge and technical expertise.
