Dr. Vikrant Khare's academic foundation was built in Madhya Pradesh, India. He completed his high school education in 2004 with a focus on mathematics, science, social science, and languages. His higher secondary education, completed in 2006, focused on physics, chemistry, biology, and languages. Dr. Khare then pursued a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture from Assam Agriculture University, graduating in 2014. His academic journey continued with a Master's degree in Genetics and Plant Breeding from Punjab Agriculture University, completed in 2017. Dr. Khare achieved his Ph.D. in Genetics and Plant Breeding from Jawaharlal Nehru Agriculture University in 2022.

Dr. Khare has accumulated over three years of research experience in various esteemed institutions. He is currently a Research Associate at the Bhabha Atomic Research Centre in Mumbai, Maharashtra, working on a Department of Atomic Energy-funded network project. Prior to this, he served as a Junior Research Fellow in a DBT project at Jawaharlal Nehru Agriculture University and worked as an Agriculture Scientist in the Agrolok Project at Lok Bharati Wheat Research Centre in Gujarat.
