Dr. Yuanwei Sun | Metal Materials and Engineering | Best Researcher Award
Yantai University | China
Dr. Yuanwei Sun currently serves as a lecturer in the School of Nuclear Equipment and Nuclear Engineering at Yantai University and holds a doctoral degree from the School of Materials Science and Engineering at Central South University. Her research is devoted to advancing the field of high-entropy alloys, with a strong focus on three core areas: composition design of high-entropy alloys, processing and forming technologies for high-entropy alloys, and mechanisms of rare-earth-element modified alloys. As first author she has published over twenty SCI-journal articles, and holds one national invention patent and one utility-model patent. Her work in the area of high-entropy alloys has achieved a notable level of recognition, as evidenced by her h-index and citation count (as recorded on publicly available academic profile services) which reflect a growing impact in this research domain. With her combination of experimental innovation in alloy processing and fundamental study of modification mechanisms by rare-earth elements, Dr Sun is making significant contributions to materials science and engineering — particularly in the context of advanced structural alloys for demanding applications. Her ongoing efforts promise further breakthroughs in alloy design, processing optimization and mechanism elucidation, and mark her as a rising leader in the field of high-entropy materials.
