Abolfazl Abdollahipour embarked on his academic journey with a Bachelor of Science in Mining Engineering (Exploitation) from Shahid Bahonar University of Kerman, Iran, in 2009. His undergraduate project focused on the "Investigating Methods of Rock Caverns Design and Excavation for Oil Storage." He continued his education at the same institution, earning a Master of Science in Mining Engineering (Rock Mechanics) in 2011 with a thesis titled “Predicting Cavern Wall Displacement and Investigating the Effect of Lateral Stress Effect on Cavern Stability.” Abdollahipour completed his academic training with a Ph.D. in Mining Engineering (Petroleum Geomechanics) from Yazd University, Iran, in 2015, presenting a thesis on the “Simulation of Crack Propagation Mechanism in Hydraulic Fracturing Process of Oil Fields.”

Abdollahipour has held various academic and research positions throughout his career. He has been serving as an Assistant Professor at the University of Tehran's School of Mining Engineering since 2019.
