Assane lo began his academic journey at the university of dakar, where he earned his bachelor of science in mathematics with a minor in physics in 1999. his passion for mathematics led him to the university of arizona, tucson, where he completed his ph.d. in mathematics in 2007. his dissertation, titled witten laplacian methods for critical phenomena, was guided by dr. haru pinson, showcasing his early commitment to advanced mathematical research.

Assane lo's professional career spans several prestigious institutions. he began his academic career as a graduate teaching assistant and later as a graduate teaching associate at the university of arizona. following his ph.d., he served as an assistant professor at king fahd university of petroleum and minerals (kfupm) in dhahran from 2007 to 2014. since 2014, he has been with the university of wollongong in dubai, first as an assistant professor and now as an associate professor, contributing significantly to the department of mathematics.
