In 1995, Kashif earned his B.Sc. in Botany, Chemistry, and Zoology from Chowdhary Charan Singh University, Meerut, India, securing a Second Division. He then pursued an M.Sc. in Biochemistry from Jamia Hamdard (Hamdard University), Delhi, India, graduating in 2000 with a First Division.
