Behnam Sedaee began his academic journey with a deep passion for chemical engineering, specializing in hydrocarbon reservoirs. he earned his ph.d. from amirkabir university of technology, tehran, iran, between 2001 and 2006, where his research focused on investigating the temperature effects on carbonate reservoir water/oil relative permeabilities in thermal enhanced oil recovery (eor). his thirst for advanced research led him to sabbaticals at the university of alberta in 2006, where he explored heavy oil fluid flow in thermal eor methods, and at the university of calgary, canada, where he recently pursued the simulation of heavy oil naturally fractured reservoirs (nfrs). these formative years built a strong foundation in reservoir engineering and simulation.
