Dr. Muntazir Mushtaq embarked on his academic journey in the realm of agriculture and biotechnology, earning his B.Sc. in Agriculture from Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences & Technology of Kashmir (SKUAST-K) in 2012. He then advanced his expertise by completing his M.Sc. in Biotechnology from the same institution in 2014. His thirst for knowledge led him to pursue a Ph.D. in Biotechnology at Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences & Technology of Jammu (SKUAST-J), where he focused on developing doubled haploid lines for blast resistance in rice through anther culture, completing his doctorate in March 2021.

Dr. Mushtaq has established himself as a dedicated educator and researcher. Since December 2022, he has been serving as an Assistant Professor at the MS Swaminathan School of Agriculture, Shoolini University of Biotechnology and Management Sciences, Solan, Himachal Pradesh. Prior to this, he was a Project Associate at the ICAR-National Bureau of Plant Genetic Resources, New Delhi, from April 2021 to October 2022.
