Dr. Weijie Wang | Nanofabrication | Excellence in Innovation

Xi'an Institute of Modern Control Technology | China

Dr Weijie Wang is a rising scholar in mechanical engineering, whose doctoral training at Tianjin University followed an MS and BS in mechanical design and manufacturing from the same institution. From the start his work has centred on high-precision spatial positioning measurement systems, ultrasonic vibration-assisted nano-machining platforms and micro end-milling process modelling, with responsibilities spanning system design, simulation, error modelling and force spectrum measurement. His peer-reviewed research includes investigations of cutting depth and contact area in nanoindenter scratching, vibration-assisted scratching of silicon, cutting-force modelling and experimental validation for micro end-milling, and lateral force in tip-based nanofabrication. Dr Wang’s publication record shows several first-author contributions and his Google Scholar profile reports an h-index of 7 with a citation count of 293 and fewer than ten documents at that time. He has been recognised by a national scholarship, top placement in a national student engineering training competition and distinguished graduate and student-leadership awards at his university. His growing influence lies not only in advancing fundamental modelling of micro-/nano-machining processes but also in enabling practical system-level high-precision measurement implementations; moving forward, Dr Wang is poised to extend his work into broader applications in precision manufacturing and measurement science, shaping both academic advances and industrial-engineering practice.
