Maria Fatima Ludovico de Almeida’s academic journey began with her graduation in chemical engineering from the federal university of rio de janeiro in 1975. she later pursued advanced studies, earning a master’s degree from the university of manchester, uk, in 1982, and a diplôme d'études approfondies (dea) from the université d’aix-marseille iii, france, in 1997. her intellectual curiosity culminated in a phd in industrial engineering from puc-rio in 2006, establishing her as a pioneer in the fields of engineering and innovation.
