Mr. Onesme NZASABAYEZU began his academic journey with a Bachelor's degree in Economic Sciences and Management, specializing in Management, from Kigali Independent University (ULK) in Rwanda. He successfully completed his undergraduate studies in December 2008 with an impressive 72.2% mark. His quest for higher education led him to pursue an MBA specializing in Finance at Marwadi University, Gujarat, India, where he graduated with a GPA of 8.22 in 2021. Currently, he is a Ph.D. Scholar in Finance at Gandhi Institute of Technology and Management (GITAM) University, Bengaluru, India, with an expected completion date in August 2024.
Professional Endeavors
Mr. NZASABAYEZU has accumulated a wealth of experience across various roles and organizations. His professional journey began as an agronomist and scientist assistant at the Rwanda Agriculture Research Institute, where he worked on legume crop improvement from 1991 to 1996. Over the years, he has held several key positions, including external junior auditor roles at various organizations such as AFRISOL, Kabutare Hospital, and CORDAID in the Democratic Republic of Congo. His responsibilities in these roles included verifying expenses, managing assets, and preparing audit reports.
Contributions and Research Focus
Mr. NZASABAYEZU’s research interests are primarily centered on sustainable development, poverty alleviation strategies, and the economic impact of financial policies. His Ph.D. thesis at GITAM University, guided by Dr. Senthil Kumar JP, focuses on sustainable strategies to mitigate Poverty alleviation poverty in selected African countries. He has contributed to several academic publications, including a scientometric analysis of poverty alleviation strategies and macroeconomic stability's impact on GDP per capita in African countries.
